Hallow-day, Part 2

So it took me a while to finally get around to writing this, and also this title in inaccurate, as this blog post is about Halloween night and Serena's is the one about Hallow-day. However, I wanted to make an obscure reference to an old Homestar Runner cartoon that I just thought of. So I did.

And, yes, I ended a sentence with a preposition. You deserved it.

Anyway, once we got back from the farm museum, we began preparing ourselves for Halloween night. The week before, after much debate (I was pretty much stuck on Santa Claus or a bear since I already have costumes for those) and many hours scouring eBay, we had settled on being a circus bear and a circus bear trainer as our costumes. I had a bear suit already (don't ask) and so just purchased a tutu to complete the costume, while Serena ordered a figure skating outfit on eBay, purchased a whip, and did her own makeup.

So here is what we ended up with:

Vague bondage themes aside, I think overall our costumes were pretty awesome. Serena's makeup was great, and I have no idea how she pulled it off. I tried helping on it and the most I can say is that I didn't mess it up, but then I left to get us food and when I came back it had somehow gone from okay to crazy and awesome like she was going for.

Once we went out into the night, I'm not sure what comments people had about her costume, but as for mine, I was generally called 1 of 3 things:

1) Teddy Ruxpin

2) the Snuggle bear

 3)  Pedobear

And somehow people either thought I was very creepy or wanted me to hug them. I hugged 3 people I think... everyone else thought I was creepy.

Oh and here are some more pictures of us in various situations:

Frightening subway riders and smiling nicely

Waving to cameras and smiling nicely
Frightening Jews and being Jewish

Being unexpectedly molested and unexpectedly being a bear molester

As you can see, it was an eventful night.

The End.
