Beaches!

A few weeks ago we went to Siren Music Festival at Coney Island. It was David's very first time at Coney Island, so it was extra exciting :P We ate very greasy hot dogs, looked at stalls of stuff, listened to some music, and sat on pavement.

I can never keep track of whether Astroland/Coney Island is closing or if the closing is postponed, or only part of it is closing, or what. So just in case, we took a nice CALM ride on the Wonder Wheel.

(It actually wasn't very calm at all...we went on one of those swinging cars
in the middle that go back and forth on a track with a big bump on it as it swings. Scary! Especially knowing how old the ride is..)

We went to the beach there though, which was extremely crowded but fun all the same:

However, it was no good for learning how to swim. So the next week, David took me to the beach (Oyster Bay in the Long Island Sound) and we swam a bit.

By the end, David had me doggy-paddling a whopping 10 seconds or so. Woot!

Posts about Tennessee and other things to follow. :)
