Excavating Serena's Bathroom, Part 1
So about a week and a half ago, Serena decided she wanted to excavate the storage wall thing in her bathroom. Normally, this wouldnt be that big of a project, but that storage wall contained items dating back to possibly the 70's.
After the excavation, we offered the box of items for free in Serena's driveway to readers of Craigslist who cleared it out and took the box with them in less than 2 days. The fact that anyone wanted most of this stuff is absolutely ridiculous as you'll see below (Also, just see Serena's post for more of the ridiculousness of said Craigslist people).
So first off, while I don't have a good picture (you can see a bit from the beginning picture, this area had the largest collection of maxi pads I've ever seen outside of somewhere like Wal-Mart. If you look closely at the top picture you can see the Bodyform ones. Those were definitely the best and had to be from around 1990 judging by that girl with her jean jacket on the bike. Sadly, while all the other maxi pads were the first things taken, these were neglected until someone took the entire box and everything left in it.
Next, we have the really ancient finds. From right to left here we have hair tonic that is so old it has separated, some sweet Cool Mint Listerine probably from the time they first introduced that flavor, and some Vicks, Prell, and Jergens in equally awesome packaging. I'm pretty sure the only way I would have been willing to use that Listerine is if someone paid me $20... and for that I probably would have even drank it (assuming it's still in liquid form).
I'd also like to note that I cut myself out of the Listerine picture to avoid any further gay pictures of me as some of our reader have complained about.
Here we have 2 things that I do not completely understand. Doan's Embrocation is apparently for arthritis and muscle pain and the like. And I'm wearing a bib. That was my only guess as to what it was, at least.
By the way, I understand that that is indeed a picture of me. I would argue that it is, in fact, not gay. I know that's probably arguable though.
And finally, we have some very weird things. In the first picture, there's Serena, a raccoon hairbrush, and some kind of shampoo/soap/child-juice container in which you remove the child's head to get to the product within. And then there is the pig shampoo bottle which is almost certain to make children cry whether the shampoo within is "no tear" or not.
With all that out of the way, we ripped one of the sliding doors off and this was the final product:
And yet to come, the final phase of the bathroom excavation: venturing into the scary, unlit shower with it's pipe coming out of the ceiling:
The End.
Until next time.
